Mandurah Garden Club Inc.
The Mandurah Garden Club is an Incorporated group and governed by rules as set out by the Department of Commerce. The club has quite a few Life Members who have worked tirelessly for the betterment of The Mandurah Garden Club.
Life membership is awarded to those who have really contributed to the club, not by length of membership and not necessarily awarded every year.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 1.30pm for a 2pm start.
Meetings generally take place at The Mandurah RSL Club, 20-22 Rouse Rd, Greenfields.
(The meeting location does change from time to time, so please check in advance with the secretary.)
At each meeting there is a $5 entry fee, which includes a ticket entry into our raffle.
There is also an exchange table where you can exchange or buy plants, cuttings, seedlings etc.
Please bring a plate of food to share for afternoon tea.
(Always bring your own cup.)

Where It Began
MANDURAH GARDEN CLUB: ~ Where it began.
In June 1980 a meeting was held at the Mewburn Centre, Mandurah to discuss the possibility of forming a Garden Club.
The meeting was convened by Mr Harry Berle, President of the Perth Club and he brought along Mr William Clarke and Mrs Coombs, Director of Zones and introduced them to those present – Mrs Cliff Richards of the Kalamunda club was present along with a few local people – Mrs Beryl Leighton, Mrs Bricknell, Mrs Mabel Baxter, Mrs Joy Marshall and Mrs Mary Osborne.
Beryl Leighton was elected to act as spokes woman and was to advertise and arrange for a meeting for July 16th.
A meeting was held at Mewburn Centre on July 16, 1980 Present were Harry Berle and his wife Nancy, Mr Sam Silk, Zone director WA from the Kalamunda Club and Mrs James from the Wilson Club, Six Mandurah residents also attended.
Beryl Leighton agreed to stand as Acting President and Mary Osborne to take the positions of Secretary/Treasurer, until such time as the Club was under way.
The first meeting of the Mandurah Garden Club was on Wednesday 13 August, 1980.
